We are working on:

1) solving addition problems with numbers missing in all positions. (Ex. 2+2=__, __+2=4 and     2+__=4)

2) using correct capitalization, punctuation and spacing when writing

3) reading CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words (Ex. log, pig, hot, mat, etc.)

4) reading sight words

5) writing 2-3 sentences about a discussed topic

6) subtraction

To help your child with some of these items you can use the sight word, letter and number cards sent home at the beginning of the year.  You can use items such as coins, small toys, candy, etc. to help with addition and subtraction.  You can also use the letters to help your child spell and read sight words.
